“We seem to be encountering some new resistance in England,” William noted thoughtfully, arching an eyebrow in surprise as he scanned the report.
“Didn’t we already take out Captain Britain and Pete Wisdom?” Ted asked. “Who’s left? I thought the Black Knight was dead, and I don’t remember anything about him having more family to pass the legacy to.”
“You’re forgetting the woman with Excalibur, but no, not her, either. This is something new… or possibly something very, very old.” William passed his husband the surveillance photos.
“Isn’t that Decibel?”
“I’m pretty sure, yeah,” the royal consort agreed. “He seems to be leading some kind of cult. All very Egyptian-like, you’ll notice.”
Ted rolled his eyes. “God, not him. Didn’t Marvel Girl kill him along with Sinister? Big explosion? Turned El Paso into a crater?”
“Well, that’s never any real guarantee, but there haven’t been any signs of Apocalypse himself yet. But we’ll keen an eye out, just in case, I think.”
Ted made a disgusted noise, then sighed. “Well,” he muttered, “nobody ever said this was going to be easy. Now, what‘s the word on Wakanda?”
“Ashes,” William said.
