It took a lot for Victor to not point out to Aiden that his apartment had once been Tommy’s favorite place to hide out when he was feeling sulky. Instead, he sat down beside the young speedster. “You’re brother’s very worried about you.”
“Fuckhim.”
“Aiden…” Victor sighed, tucking Aiden’s head under his chin.
“He wants me to stop seeing you,” Aiden mumbled.
“Like I said, he’s worried about you.”
“He’sjealouscauseI’vegotsomeoneandhe’sgonnabeallbitterandaloneandhecanfuckoffcauseyou’remineandyouwon’tleaveme.” Aiden fisted his hands in Victor’s shirt. “Right? Youpromisedyouwouldn’tandyouwon’tcausegrandmaalwayssaidthatyoualwayskeptyourpromises.”
Sometimes, Victor forgot how young Aiden was.
“I’m not going anywhere.”
