Kevin sat back to enjoy the show as Ben and Gwen began squabbling over who got the first piece of birthday cake. He folded his hands behind his head, listening as the argument degenerated into a litany of petty slights dating back to the pairs’ earliest memories.
They were both so cute when they were angry.
When Ben and Gwen were distracted, the older boy deftly swiped the first slice of cake and began eating it. It was good cake.
