Wanda Maximoff didn’t like enclosed spaces or, surprisingly, the dark. She slept with all the lights on, when she slept at all.
Nobody talked to her about how she would sometimes wake up screaming. It wasn’t like she was the only one. Their silence was one of understanding.
The light kept the horrors at bay. Being able to keep the light on as long as she wished was a sign of her freedom. Back in the cage, they decided when the lights went on and when they went off. And she couldn’t live with that ever again.
