Jean-Paul’s pager was beeping, and Jean-Paul was trying to ignore it. He grabbed the covers and pulled them up over his head while Pete chuckled softly.
“You should at least let them know you’re alright. Not kidnapped by terrorists or aliens or something.”
“I told them I didn’t want to be bothered for the whole weekend. They should respect my wishes.”
Pete put an arm around Jean-Paul and kissed his ear. “It’s probably important, then.”
“Don’t care. This is, in fact, my not caring face.”
