Wong’s hand paused over the ringing telephone. “What?”
“Check the caller ID first,” Stephan said more slowly, eyeing the device as if it might explode. “It might be her.”
Wong arched a single eyebrow in a gesture he’d copied off an old TV show. “She’s your mother, Master.”
“I know, and I don’t want to talk to her.” The Sorcerer Supreme scowled. “She’s an evil old harpy and I think my father summoned her from another dimension.”
“It’s almost Thanksgiving. Isn’t that supposed to be a time of family togetherness?”
“What part of ‘evil old harpy’ did you not get?”
