Jubilee climbed up onto the roof of the school and stood with her hands on her hips, watching the leather clad back in front of her. "This is a change of pace," she said. "Usually you like to lurk below ground."
Jono looked at her, his psi-fire giving an eerie glow to the pre-dawn scene. He shrugged his shoulders, face turning back east. Jubilee sat down next to him on the roof's edge and opened her mouth to ask what he was doing up here at such an unnatural hour. Jono put a finger on her lips, then pointed to the horizon. Jubilee frowned at him, but fell into silence with him.
He draped an arm around her shoulders as the sun rose. Beautiful, innit.
"Yeah."
