Characters: Jonothon Starsmore, mentions of Angelo “Fuck YOU Chuck Austen” Espinosa
Prompt: 51. Another One Bites The Dust
Word Count:
Rating: PG
Summary: Jono’s the last one alive.
Author's Notes: I own nothing.
Jono looked at the grave stone as the California sun beat down on him. It was entirely too hot for black leather, but the former telepath just couldn’t give a toss about that at the moment.
“Bugger me sideways,” he muttered, crouching down to trace the letters carved there, “they got the stone wrong. Christ God Almighty, no wonder Jubilee’s got your ashes tucked away in her room. I wouldn’t want to be buried here either.” He stood up, glaring at the slab of granite, even though he knew it shouldn’t have mattered.
But it just felt so wrong. At least Sean had gotten a proper burial.
Jono pulled out a small hammer and chisel and set to work carving the words he wanted to leave behind into the stone.
“You were a good man, Angelo Espinosa.”
