Summary: Sasuke’s going home, one way or another.
Author's Notes: Mentions of character death.
Hinata carefully cleaned and bandaged Gaara’s wounds. Neither of them spoke of the white shrouded bodies they would be taking back to Konoha.
There were no words of how Hinata’s heart ached for the loss of Uzimaki Naruto, or how Gaara would miss the often strange, sometimes wise council of the first person he had ever called ‘friend’. Both were silent in their grief. Words weren’t needed. Speaking of the loss of the brave ninja would wait until later.
Both knew that words would never be enough.
Quietly, Gaara brought out his Bingo Book and scratched out the entry for Uchiha Sasuke.
