“For some reason, this date seems a lot like most of the times we just hang out together,” Billy mused.
Victor leaned back in his chair, resting his elbows on the back. “You’re the one who picked the place,” he pointed out with the smallest of smiles.
“So, has it been everything you hoped for?”
Victor laughed. “I plead the fifth.” He held up a hand as Billy leaned forward, a gleam in his eye. “I don’t think you really wanna know.” Billy’s lips twitched into something that could be a smile, or possibly a leer, and Victor shook his head. “Not saying.”
“Well, I bet I can guess how you’d like things to end…” Billy purred, resting his elbows on the table as he trailed the toe of his shoe up and down Victor’s calf.
“You move pretty fast, Mr. Kaplan.”
“You,” Billy retorted, “move very, very slow, Mr. Borkowski.”
