Victor gave Josh a very serious look, crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes in an expression that failed to be as fierce as he wished it were. “You come near me with that thing and I will kick you in the face.”
“What?’ Josh asked, holding up the syringe. “Dr. McCoy needs a blood sample, and I know you aren’t scared of needles.”
“Yeah, but you’re the one with the needle,” Victor pointed out, “and I know you.”
“I’m interning. This is all part of the job. Lemme draw the blood, then we can get on with out lives.”
Victor shook his head. “If Dr. McCoy wants blood, he can come get it himself. Or he can send someone else to get it. But I trust you with that thing about as far as I could throw, let’s say… Colossus. When he’s armored up.”
