New Experiences
Title: New Experiences
Fandom: D.Gray-Man
Table/Prompt: Table 5/2. Rice
Rating: PG
Word Count: 178
Summary: In which Miranda tries a new food.
Miranda Lotto studied the strange white grains that filled the bowl in front of her with no small amount of trepidation. She wasn’t sure how to eat it. She wasn’t even sure if it really was food. She prodded it warily with her fork, stirring the grains. A shadow fell across her, and Miranda nearly fell out of her seat with a shriek. Arystar Krory barely managed to catch her, babbling apologies as he helped her back upright. “Sorry, so sorry.”
Miranda swept a hand through her hair, trying to get her heartbeat under control, staring at her fellow Exorcist. “oh-oh-oh-”
“Are you going to eat that?” Arystar asked, his eyes falling on the bowl. Miranda blinked, then silently pushed the bowl to the man. Arystar smiled, his sharp teeth seeming to glow silver in the light, sending a shiver down her spine.
The rice was gone before she could say another word.
“Thank you.”
