Title: Don’t Know What It Is
Author:
dorksidefiker
Fandom: Marvel
Characters: Terry Ward
Prompt: Table 1/1. Sleep
Word Count: 179
Rating: PG
Summary: There’s a song, running through Terry’s head.
Warnings: None.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
A song kept running through Terry Ward’s head as he sat on his bed, alone in the dark, in the middle of the night. It was a song his mom had listened to, before he’d put her in the loony bin. For some reason -- for a lot of reasons -- one particular lyric seemed appropriate to his situation.
And I never really sleep anymore, and I always dream those dangerous dreams
Ever since that day, when his powers had manifested, his dreams had gotten… strange. Not that his dreams before then hadn’t been weird, but this was a new, different, and frightening kind of strange. At first, he’d put it down to his powers being uncontrollable and picking up other people’s nightmares. But after training with Dani, the dreams kept coming, stronger and stranger.
And Terry stopped sleeping.
