Looking at Haruhi, holding him -- well, her -- up and feeling the unexpected softness, Mori wonders why.
Why pretend to be a boy? Why conceal this?
He notices the look Kyoya is giving him as he puts Haruhi down, and he knows that Kyoya knows that Haruhi is a girl, and is keeping the information to himself, most likely for his own amusement.
Things are going to be very, very interesting with Haruhi around.
