Anole/Northstar
1. wild west:
Smoke wafted from the gun barrel on the morning breeze, stinking like the fires of Hell. Victor looked down at his trembling hand, still clutching the gun, as if he had never seen it before.
Jean-Paul wrapped a hand around Victor's wrist. "We have to go," he hissed, "now, or when they catch you your heels won't touch the ground." The older gunslinger stalked towards the horses, pulling the young man along, muttering sourly about idiot children shooting wealthy ranchers all the while.
2. cyberpunk:
"Yes, but what does it do?" Jean-Paul asked in a bored tone as he made a few adjustments to the cybernetic leg braces. A long pink tongue flashed in front of his face, wrapping around his ankle, finally making him look up. Even with his tongue hanging out so absurdly, Victor looked triumphant.
3. furries:
"You make a very cute rabbit," Victor said, barely dodging the objects that Jean-Paul flung at him.
4. pirates:
Jean-Paul was about to ask either the universe at large or Victor himself why he bothered to keep the boy on his ship, as he was constantly sick when he was on the deck. The boy had no stomach for life at sea. Then the lad bent over the rail, and Jean-Paul was reminded of the fact that Victor hadn't been brought on to be a deck hand in the first place.
5. ...in SPACE!!:
"I like it here," Victor announced. "They want me to be their God-King. And it's kinda nice to be around people who look like me."
"They probably want to throw you into a volcano or sacrifice you to some space monster," Jean-Paul said snippily.
"When I'm their God King, you can be my chief consort or something."
6. born another gender:
"Victoria, will you stop that?" Jeanne muttered, looking around the room for her missing pupil. "A more annoying girl I have yet to meet."
"You'll have to find me first~" Victoria taunted. Jeanne's head jerked up, following the sound of the girl's voice. Somewhere on the ceiling...
7. schoolfic:
"Vic's hot for the French teacher~"
"Shut up, Santo."
8. urban fantasy:
"NOT," Jean-Paul growled, "a faerie. Do I make myself clear? The pointed ears mean NOTHING."
"And neither does the flying or the little light thingie," Victor said. Jean-Paul's eyes narrowed as he studied the boy to see if he was mocking him.
"I'm not," Jean-Paul muttered again.
9. harem:
"Does she know we're gay?"
"I think she picked us for the entertainment value."
"Weird."
10. Requester’s choice
"Elphaba Sophie!"
It was amazing what the effect a first and middle name could have when shouted by a parent. Especially when the first name was so very embarrassing. Even Victor flinched.
Effie, however, seemed to be immune. "I didn't do it."
"Not the way to go, kid," Victor muttered.
