Jubilee leaned back, tipping the chair until it balanced on two legs, smirking at Jono. “On the one hand, cheesecake,” she drawled. “On the other hand, Cookie Dough Ice Cream. And a stomach too full to eat both.”

“You are vicious and cruel,” Jono accused. “And possibly evil.”

“I could make the choice for you.” Jubilee stretched out a hand, reaching for the pint of ice cream, but Jono moved it out of her reach with a petulant look. “You’re gonna get fat if you keep this up.”

“Leave me alone,” Jono muttered.

“We’re gonna have to change your name to ‘Butterball,’” she went on mercilessly. “Or ‘Wide Load’. I like that one.” She held up both her hands as if framing a marquee. “Wide Load Saves City From Wrecking Crew, Eats All Cake in Five Block Radius.”

“Keep it up, and I really will eat it all myself.”
