Summary: There are good reasons why nobody tells the family of dead members of the Black Order that they died.
Yu Kanda sat in the sunshine, watching the fat, happy family as they moved in and about the shop. This place was peaceful, in spite of the hustle and bustle going on. Or maybe it seemed so peaceful because of the cheerful noise. This was a place where bad things happened, but not a place where the bad things broke people. This was the place where Daisya had been born and raised. These were the people who had loved him. And they would never know what had happened to Daisya.
It was a good policy. Kanda agreed with it. It kept members of the Black Order from being turned into Akuma.
“Can I help you with something?”
Kanda’s head jerked around. The plump girl looking at him with narrowed eyes, her mouth set in a disagreeable line. For a moment, Kanda saw Daisya in the girl’s face, in the way she looked at him.
“Well?”
Kanda stood up, then walked away.
