Teenagers
Title: Teenagers
Author:
dorksidefiker
Fandom: Avengers: the Initiative
Characters: Naomi Ward, Terry Ward
Prompt: Table 1/45. Ignored
Word Count: 175
Rating: PG
Summary: In which a mother sees the horror that is coming.
Warnings: None.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Naomi Ward watched Terry run up the stairs, each footfall thudding heavily on the steps. She winced as his bedroom door slammed shut, turning to her husband. Jerry ducked behind his newspaper, shoulders hunched. She sighed softly, lips pressing in to a thin line. “Honey-”
“He’s fine. Just being a teenager. Remember what he did when we were that age?” he asked. Naomi felt a chill run up her spine as she pushed aside the thoughts of her misspent youth and the cult and that thing-
“Yes,” she said, raising her eyes to the ceiling, in the general direction of Terry’s room. She could hear what her son insisted was music, despite the best efforts to soundproof the room. “Yeah, Jerry, I remember.”
And that was what worried her so very much.
