Somehow, Victor had always thought that a mutant messiah would wear more clothing. Nate Gray, the alternate reality counterpart of Nate Summers and aforementioned mutant messiah, didn’t seem to believe in shirts (or shoes, but that was unimportant). Not that Victor was objecting exactly. It was a very nice view, just incredibly distracting. Victor was pretty sure Nate had been saying something important, but he hadn’t really been listening. “Uh-huh.”
Nate smiled, a sweet, lost little boy look that made Victor want to give him a hug and tell him that it was all going to be alright.
“So I’ll see you in twenty minutes,” Nate said, and Victor suddenly wished he knew what the man had said, and what he had agreed to do.
