“You’re beautiful in the moonlight,” Byron said sleepily, stretching out one hand to caress Rowena’s thigh. She ran a hand through the riot of curls that was her hair, trying to get it out of her face, and snorted. Instead of behaving itself, the tangled mass resolutely fell back into place. “I like your hair like that,” he added. “It’s untamed. Like you.”

Rowena harrumphed, turning her back on the werewolf. “Full moon tomorrow,” she noted.

Byron sat up, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her on to his lap. “I’m not about to forget, my love. Are you coming to the pack run?”

Rowena tucked herself under Byron’s chin. “Yes.”

Byron started, pulling away enough to look at Rowena. “Yes? No argument? No me having to talk you in to it?”

Rowena laughed softly. “I’ve never gotten to see a full pack run before,” she said. “It’ll be interesting. Can I bring a camera?”
