Torus was practically floating on air, and he very nearly danced through the doors, leaving a little contrail of flame behind him. Jake watched this with mild bemusement, trying to figure out what had brought on this spectacular good mood.
“Where have you been?”
“Out,” Torus replied with a dreamy sigh, flopping into the couch as a wide smile covered his face. “I saw her.”
“Her?” Jake asked, even though he knew perfectly well who Torus was talking about. For the half-Skrull, there was only one her.”
“Spider-Girl. She kissed me,” he added.
“She didn’t.”
“She did!” Torus bounced off the couch. “I am never washing this cheek again.”
“She’ll never kiss you again, cause your face will be all gross.”
