May found herself in the unenviable position, thanks to a rather unfortunate broken leg, of being left with Franklin ’s cousin Torus while everyone else was fighting off an invasion of Dormamu and his Mindless Ones. The green haired boy fidgeted and paced and tried very hard not to look nervous in front of her.
“You want a soda or something?” he asked.
“Sure,” May said, just as happy to give him something to do as he was to do something. She turned on the TV, only to find coverage of the battle. She quickly turned it back off.
“You could leave it on,” Torus said as he came back, popping the tab of the soda can. “I’m used to it.”
Silently, May turned the TV back on, ignoring Torus' sniffle, because she knew he wouldn't want her to comment on it.
