“Maybe if you kiss me, I’ll turn into a handsome prince, cuddlebumps,” Toad suggested before promptly leaping behind Fred for cover.
Everything was still for a very long moment, like the whole world was holding it’s breath. But the expected shrieks of rage and thrown things (or worse, exploded things) didn’t come.
“You feeling okay, Wanda?” Pietro asked, coming out from under the table.
Wanda yawned and stretched strolled out of the kitchen with her Hello Kitty mug, ignoring everyone. All eyes turned to Toad.
“What? I didn’t do nothin’!”
“She’s trying to mess with our minds,” Lance announced after a few moments of careful thought. “She’s lulling us into a false sense of security, then bam.”
