Xavin crossed her arms over her chest and watched Billy and Teddy as they were hauled up onto a pair of chairs. The leaned closer to Karolina, eyebrows coming together. “This is profoundly undignified.”
“Yeah, but it’s fun,” Karolina whispered back, giggling. “Anyway, it’s no worse than what we went through when we were trying to settle things between the Skrulls and the Majesdane.”
“That was for a higher cause,” Xavin replied, mustering as much dignity as she could. “And there was no capering involved.”
Karolina gave her lover a look that said, ‘Maybe if there had been capering, it wouldn’t have ended in a big fight and the destruction of two planets.’ Xavin conceded the point with equal silence as Karolina pulled her out into the dance floor.
