“Are you sure you do not need anything else?” Xavin asked, reaching out to fluff the pillow under Karolina’s feet. The Majesdane kicked at the Skrull, but was clearly doing so mostly out of irritating, and making no real effort to connect.
“I’ve got everything I need except some peace and quiet without you playing mother hen,” she sighed. “I’m pregnant and bloated, but I’m not an invalid.”
Xavin caught one of her feet by the ankle and started rubbing, working outwards from the ball of her foot. “You are radiant, my love.”
“Only because I can’t get the glow to switch off. Oooh, don’t stop doing that.”
“As you will it,” Xavin purred. “I am yours to command.”
“I’m never going through this again,” Karolina groaned, shifting her weight until she was comfortable again. “No way, no how.”
