Summary: Emma’s tired of Jono and his bottomless well of self-pity.

Emma put her hand on the back of Jono’s neck and marched him over to the broken down couch, giving him a little shove so that he stumbled and fell onto it. She planted a white booted foot between his legs, the sharply pointed toe almost nudging his crotch. She leaned forward, and Jono tried to sink into the back of the couch, looking rather a lot like a deer caught in the headlights of a semi-truck.
“Your endless self pity,” she said, her voice matched with a low purr in the back of Jono’s brain, “has worn on my last nerve. You have an amazing world of experiences open to you… or you would, if you’d stop being such a prat and learn to use your powers instead of moping in this basement all the time.”
Emma ran a hand through Jono’s hair, letting the dark strands slide between her gloved fingers. “I’m going to do something about that. I’m going to show you all those things that you’ve been missing out on.” She smiled like a shark.
If Jono could have gulped, he would have.
