Cleansing
Title: Cleansing
Fandom: X-Men
Characters: Jonothon Starsmore
Prompt: 57. Cleaning Out My Closet
Word Count: 130
Rating: G
Summary: Jono’s stopping by his old home.
Jonothon Evan Starsmore stood outside the building that housed his parents’ flat, fists buried deep in his pockets. The clouds hung low and ominous in the sky, threatening to burst at any moment and pour down sooty rain. He could see his mother silhouetted in the window. He watched her turn, then pause.
The curtains were flung open quickly, and she looked out. Jono couldn’t see her face, or tell if she’d noticed that he was out there.
The curtains closed again as the first few fat drops came down, and the light went out.
Jono trudged back to his own flat in the rain.
