She looked like he'd always thought an angel should. Fresh faced and sweet, with golden hair and eyes like the sky on a clear day. A man could loose himself in those eyes.
He watched her, and saw her watching him. That scared him. He didn't want to get too close. He couldn't risk getting too close. He didn't want to hurt her.
But she kept pulling him in.
Sometimes, it was like she knew him better than anyone ever had.
Sometimes, it was like she didn't know him at all.
He wanted her to know him. He wanted to pull her in and show her everything. He wanted to know everything there was to know about her. He wanted to strip them both bear, show every secret.
But he didn't dare.
