Author:
fullmetal_cute
Fandom: Runaways
Table/Prompt: Table 1/48. Light
Character/Pairing: Chase Stein, Molly Hayes, Victor Mancha, Klara Prast, with mentions of the Young X-Men
Rating: PG
Word Count: 258
Summary: The quality of the X-Men have gone SERIOUSLY downhill the last few years.
Authors Notes/Disclaimer: I don’t own a damn thing, and I’m sure you all realized this long ago.
Silence reigned supreme in the Leapfrog as the young outlaw super-heroes made good their escape from both the X-Men and the more mundane authorities. Nobody was really willing to talk about what had happened just yet.
“Did I really just kick and X-Man’s ass with a flashlight?” Chase finally asked. “Man things have gone seriously downhill for them since I was a kid.”
“Maybe the grey guy wasn’t really an X-Man?” Molly suggested hopefully.
“The green lizard guy seemed more their style,” Victor commented. “And he wasn’t taken down by a flashlight.”
Chase pursed his lips and gingerly touched his right eye, which was nearly swollen shut.
“I liked the lady with the veil,” Klara ventured timidly. “She was nice, after everyone stopped fighting.”
“What was nice was the way you completely kicked the rock guy’s butt,” Molly said triumphantly. “You could take down the Hulk or something, I bet.”
“They were still nice once we stopped fighting,” Klara repeated.
“Yeah, yeah, but they weren’t real X-Men,” Chase insisted. “They weren’t like, y’know, Wolverine or anything.”
“Wolverine is smelly and stupid,” Molly informed Chase with a disapproving sniff, “and he’s a jerk.”
