There was sand in the scratches on Lee’s palms. He studied them, then turned on the water to wash the insignificant injuries out. He could hear the soft shh-in sound of sand stirring inside Gaara’s gourd. Lee turned slightly so he could see the Sand nin in the mirror, and inclined his head.
Slowly, Gaara nodded back.
