“How did you do it?” Becca moaned as Ted lifted Malcolm out of the bath. The baby boy kicked and squealed with glee while his grandfather made faces at him. Becca blew a few damp strands of hair out of her face. “Wally and I are being run ragged, and there’s just one of him.”
“Well,” Ted drawled, handing Malcolm off to his daughter, “when you and your brothers were young, one of us was always off roster. And we were always happy to let people baby sit. You seem determined to do it all yourself.” He gave Becca a grin. “What was it you said? ‘How hard can it be?’”
“I can’t take time off,” Becca said. “I’m the Chairwoman, Daddy.”
“Vacations are good for you, Princess,” Ted sighed. “They keep you sane.”
“Maybe when things are a bit less chaotic,” she said, toweling her son off. “That new guy claiming to be Doctor Doom is making noise again, and Bobby said that Galactus is feeling peckish…”
“Alright, Princess. Just remember, your father and I are always happy to baby sit.”
