Victor grinned sheepishly. “Have I mentioned lately how much I don’t like the Shi’ar? I mean, yeah, they’re friends of the X-Men and stuff, but this showing up and abducting us to fight for them… ugh.” He turned wide green eyes on Billy in what most people would call a passable attempt at a Sad Puppy Look. “I’m sorry about dinner.”
“There’s still some in the fridge,” Billy said, stifling another yawn.
