Summary: Victor’s thinking about Billy, and Alani wants to kick him.
Author's Notes: Sequel to Last Day on Earth.
Victor lay on his back, his hands behind his head, and looked up at the sky. Billy was somewhere up there, probably having the time of his life.
“If you sigh,” Alani said, standing over him with her hands on her hips, “I’m going to kick you. You realize this?”
Victor snorted.
“I mean it. I can take only so much of your moping.”
“I’m not moping.”
“Are too,” Alani tilted her head back, looking up at the night sky. “And you’ve been doing it ever since Billy took off.” She looked down at Victor again. “You should have told him how you feel before he left.”
“Why? He loves Teddy, and I refuse to make his life any more complicated than it already is.”
