Teddy watched the reptilian X-Man try to flirt with Billy, drumming his fingers on his thigh. Billy seemed oblivious to the mutant’s attempts at flirting, so Teddy decided to just let it slide. He faded into the background, and he listened.
Of course, he was quickly spotted, despite all the effort he was putting into going unnoticed. “Hey, Teddy.” Billy’s face broke into a brilliant smile. “Have you met Victor yet?”
Victor raised his hand in a little wave, smiling shyly. “Uh, hi.”
Teddy plastered a polite smile on his own face. “Hi. Nice to meet you.”
