Summary: Ted doesn’t like it that some of the people in his life are so vulnerable.

Notes: Part of my That Damn Mpreg series.
Ted Altman didn’t like to think of his children as being vulnerable in any way, even though he knew that they were, in that special way that potentially politically useful people were. But it wasn’t often that he had to think of them as being physically vulnerable; Becca and Jeff had both been able to shape shift from an early age, and Bobby’s ability to warp reality had expressed itself just as young.
Nate didn’t have that.
He looked to small and pale and helpless in the infirmary bed, the faint dusting of freckles on his face standing out horribly. Someone had shot him and left him to just bleed to death.
[The new synthetic blood seems to be working,] Vision said. [He was awake earlier, when Henry was here.]
“He’ll be okay?” Ted asked, stroking his youngest son’s dark red hair.
[Nate is much stronger than he looks, just like his parents.]
