Teddy reached over and flipped the spell book in front of Billy closed. Billy blinked owlishly and looked up. “You’ve been at this for hours. Smoke’s gonna start coming out of your ears soon.”
Billy stretched his arms above his head and groaned softly as his joints popped. “If I say that I’ve got to keep reading, what will you do?” he asked.
Teddy thought about that, studying Billy as he did so. “Throw you over my shoulder and carry you outside. Sunlight is good for you, you know.”
Billy let his arms fall to his sides, his head rolling back as he grinned. “Promises, promises.”
Teddy stood up in a sudden move, flinging Billy over his shoulder before marching out of the room.
