The tasteful urn seemed entirely too small to contain his mother. Teddy looked at it and saw his reflection in the bright metal, warped by its curves. It felt cold in his hands as he picked it up.
Too small, and far too light.
How could his mother have been reduced to this? She’d been so big to him, once.
Now she was just a little pile of ashes in a jar, waiting to be taken to a final resting place.
