Summary: Teddy doesn’t remember when he started shape shifting.

Teddy couldn’t remember when he’d started shape-shifting. It must have been pretty early. He never did anything big -- he understood even before he had the words to express it that not everyone could do what he did, and that telling anyone would bring the kind of attention he didn’t want.
He liked the attention that being the handsomest and most athletic brought him, though it wasn’t long before he realized that it wasn’t good to be too perfect, and so started to tone it down.
Greg was the first person he ever told about what he could do, and he reveled in the attention the other boy gave him, never stopping to think of what he was doing for Greg’s approval. It just felt so good to not have this secret from someone.
