“Where are my Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs?”
Eli’s hand stopped halfway to his mouth as Billy’s voice cut through the air like a knife. He looked at the mostly empty cereal box and grimaced, looking for a place to hide the evidence.
“Tommy!”
Eli breathed a sigh of relief. He had a few more moments to stash the box and deny everything.
“He’s gonna figure out it was you sooner or later,” Kate pointed out with a chuckle. “Tommy hates them, and everyone else knows better than to touch Billy’s stash.”
“I’ll buy him a new box,” Eli said, stuffing the cereal box behind a stack of moving boxes that still hadn’t been cleared away. Billy and Tommy were arguing; the perfect cover for his escape.
