Summary: He’s waiting for Mother to wake up.
Mother is cold and still, but Kurogane holds her tightly to him, defending her from the demons who would defile her. Only her blood, which had flowed forth to soak into his clothes, and that is rapidly cooling, making his clothes stick to his body. He is surrounded by enemies, and he will destroy them all.
No one will touch his mother ever again. No one will take her from him. He is strong, like his father, and he will protect her from everything.
Then she will wake up again. And she will smile at him. And they will be happy.
