Jono looked at the blonde girl in the passenger seat out of the corner of his eye. She was staring resolutely at her hannds, which were clenched in her lap. I don't breathe.
She looked up, blinking, and Jono went on. No lungs, no mouth. S' how I beat Omega Red. I was immune to his death spores or whatever. Wanker. He shook his head at the memory. So I'm immune to what you're throwing out. He was quiet while Laurie stared at him. I'm taking you to the concert because I want to. Relax.
"Oh. Um. Thank you."
