“New rule,” Billy announced, looking like he might throw up as he pushed his plate away. He looked at Teddy, scraping his tongue with his teeth before continuing. “I love you, but you aren’t allowed to cook anymore. Ever.”
“What’s wrong with artichokes and raspberries?” Teddy asked, looking like a kicked puppy. “Mom used to make them all the time,” he said, poking listlessly at his food. “It tastes fine to me.”
“I’m going to chalk it up to one of those weird Skrull things,” Billy said. “I’m gonna order a pizza or something.”
“Get me a Coke?” Teddy asked hopefully as he watched Cassie look over the dinner her made and take a taste. She looked at Teddy and shrugged, eating a bit more.
“Sure thing,” Billy said, walking out as he fished out his cell phone.
Teddy waited until Billy had left the room, then grabbed the abandoned plate and dumped the food onto his own plate. “Waste not, want not.”
