Victor had a little secret, something he hadn’t told anyone and didn’t plan to, ever. It was his to keep, something to hold on to and cherish.
He knew that before his mutation had manifested itself, Santo had been kind of hot.
This clearly wasn’t information the mutant in question wanted shared. Santo had worked hard to erase all traces of the boy he had once been, and Victor respected that. He’d never been able to pass for human himself, but he could at least understand the desire to not keep having what he was thrown into his face. Still, it was kind of nice to know, just for the sake of knowing it. Making nice with Santo’s mom had been the best thing he’d ever done.
Victor would never admit it, but sometimes the Santo that was, the Santo that Victor had never met and never would, cropped up in some of his more interesting daydreams. It was another of his little secrets.
