Kevin was very wary of working with glass. It wasn’t like he could run to the infirmary if he got hurt (at least, not without McCoy having to fuss with a lot of protective procedures), and he’d seen the kind of damage that molten glass could do to a body. It would mean going to Josh for something, and the thought of that made him feel decidedly unwell.
Josh had a talent for getting under his skin, deliberately doing things that made Kevin squirm. He liked making Kevin feel weird, and he shamelessly took advantage of the fact that Kevin didn’t have much in the way of options when he was hurt.
He just had to be careful with his new project, that was all.
