Summary: Billy Wagner loves Halloween. Teddy Altman's not so sure.
Authors Notes/Disclaimer: Another tale from the Saga of Billy Wagner.

Teddy leaned against the wall and just watched as Billy helped his little sister wrap the pink silk ribbons around her legs. Tommy had long since abandoned the whole affair, proclaiming his brother a complete dork (though his sister was left un-mocked). Billy just laughed, shrugging off the kind of teasing that usually sent him off to the shadows to brood. The job done, TJ stood up and stretched out one leg, mimicking the pose of a ballet dancer. The girl's hair was down and loose, with silk flowers woven in to the dark locks. The leotard and tutu were the same shade of pale pink as the ribbons on her legs, and she'd tucked her tail away for the time being.

Billy was dressed in motley colors, ribbons tied in an imitation of shirt sleeves, running from wrist to shoulder, a tight, bright red vest acting as anchor at the top, and a pair of heavily patched breeches hugging his hips and legs. All this was topped off with a bright red bandanna and the whole thing made Teddy feel a little under-dressed in his off the rack vampire costume. Not that Teddy hadn't added his own special touches to his outfit, but it looked like what Billy was wearing had taken some real work.

"Okay, all set?" Billy asked, straightening up. It sometimes surprised Teddy how tall Billy actually was; given his habit of crouching and hiding inside his cape, it was actually pretty hard to get a real idea of Billy's body shape.

"Ready when you are." Teddy gave him another once over. "You look good."

Billy smiled, practically purring under the praise. This was a new thing for Teddy to see, and he kinda liked it.

"Are you guys gonna make out or something?" TJ asked. "Cause if you are, I want outta here."

Teddy didn't even have time to protest as Megan dragged Billy away, both of them laughing, to dance. On the one hand, Teddy liked that Billy was so relaxed; it made for a really pleasant change from the shy, retiring boy. But on the other hand, he wanted to spend a little time with his boyfriend, instead of having him run off every few minutes while because he was being the life of the party.

"Having fun?" TJ asked brightly. Teddy managed to keep from either glaring or pouting. "Yeah, that's what I thought. He's like that this time of year."

"He looked like he's having fun," Teddy admitted.
