Angelo’s hand curled around the back of Jono’s neck, caressing the cool, pale flesh there, his fingers creeping towards the ragged edges, where his fire raged. Don’t, the telepath warned.
Angelo pulled his fingers back from the flames, instead sliding the hand up into Jono’s hair and leaning close to plant a kiss on his forehead. The skin there was cool too, unnaturally so, especially considering the inferno that roiled within Jono’s chest. Just a little bit above room temperature. He’d have thought the fireball at Jono’s core would have made him warmer.
Angelo sighed softly, just holding Jono close, trying to give him some kind of warmth.
