Victor waggled his jaw, looking at himself in the mirror. The imprint of Alani’s hand was still livid on his cheek, and it stung like hell.
“You done?” he asked quietly.
“Don’t talk to me,” Alani hissed, storming out of the room. She’d go in search of Josh, Victor knew, and then she’d find out that exactly what Victor had said was true.
She wouldn’t come back until later. She might never apologize. Victor could live with that; what he couldn’t live with was Josh not telling her the truth.
