Chase was still sputtering, choking on his soda, even minutes after Molly had told him that she was getting wicked awful cramps. She continued to look at him innocently even as Karolina thumped him on the back. Victor had already fled the room in horror, and Nico was biting her lower lip, making distressed noises. That was the scene Xavin walked in on. The Skrull looked around, eyes narrowed as she assessed the situation before settling down at the table near Molly. She propped her chin up on her hand, eyes going back and forth between Molly and Chase. “I have missed something amusing, haven’t I.”

“ ‘Amusing’?” Chase squeaked. His mouth opened, then snapped shut, his face going from red to pale. Then he stood up, staggering over to the ‘Frog.

“You’ve been doing horrible things to Chase.”

“Are you gonna teach me to play poker now?” Molly asked.
