Wally reached an arm out, checking to see if he was alone in the bed. He was alone, but only for a moment. Becca sat down just within his reach, and Wally caressed her thigh lightly. “I thought you’d left.”
Becca flopped down bonelessly, giving Wally a sleepy smile. “That would be rude,” she said. She leaned forward, planting a tentative kiss on his lips. Then she pulled back, just watching him.
“You okay?” Wally asked, cupping Becca’s cheek.
“Uh-huh.” She closed her eyes, her back arching slightly as she stretched. “I’m good.”
“Good… good is good,” Wally said. Becca opened her eyes, then brushed her fingers through his bright red hair, smoothing it back.
“Yeah,” she agreed. “Good is very good.” She grinned. “I was thinking… breakfast.”
“There’s a great deli down the block,” Wally suggested. “They do a killer bagel and lox.”
“That would be nice. Then… we could come back here?”
“If you wanna.”
“I do.”
