”Telepathy is cheating,” Megan insisted, glaring at the Cuckoos. “You can’t have them on your team, Julian.”
“Doesn’t say that here,” Julian retorted, waving the rules with one hand while he grabbed his drink with the other before Santo could make off with it.
“It’s like using a cell phone,” Megan replied firmly. “Anyway, moving on. David’s on my team.”
“Now how is that fair?” Julian argued. “He knows everything!”
Megan waggled a finger at Julian. “It’s not the same thing. He knows it, rather than digging through other people’s heads to get it.”
“But that’s what he did before the girls fooled around with his brain!”
Megan sat down, folding her hands and giving Julian a very prim look. “And back then, he wouldn’t have been allowed to play.”
